Val was an extraordinary performer but she didn’t like being recorded. We all begged her to record her stories but that wasn’t her way. This 2012 video is a rare instance in which she indulged Emily’s request to talk about becoming and being Goo-See the Clown on camera. The idea was to do many more conversations like this and to get into the therapeutic and educational work she did as a clown…we’ll have to rely on our memories for that and relish the minutes we did capture.
